Light-fingered

"Light-fingered" (Pt Eliot, South Australia)

Though outwardly a gloomy shroud,
The inner half of every cloud
Is bright and shining:
I therefore turn my clouds about
And always wear them inside out
To show the lining.
~Ellen Thorneycroft Fowler

Why I love the beach in winter

I think the pictures tell the story. A beach in winter has its own unique beauty. These shots were taken in Hallett Cove on the last day of June. At the end of a beautiful sunny winter afternoon, it was nice to see a few clouds adding colour and texture to the sky.
