Hi, welcome to “Flourish!” I started this blog as part of entering a new season of discovery. One of the things I soon discovered was that I wasn’t in the season I had anticipated. I was expecting exciting new adventures; instead I found myself on the sidelines of my own life while I came to terms with burnout (yet again – yes, it’s been a pattern) and a spiritual life resembling a shrivelled cactus. Even cacti need some water!

The title “Flourish!” is inspired by a section of John Ortberg’s book, The Me I Want to Be, in which he describes flourishing as “moving toward God’s best version of you.” I figure the only way to do that is to move closer to God himself.

Over the years, I’ve filled numerous journals as I’m learning, and re-learning, how to follow Jesus. I want to keep learning and growing as long as I’m on this earth. I want to pursue an intimate relationship with God, and I’m using this space to share some of my journey in words and pictures.

I hope you find something here that resonates with you, and inspires you to flourish in your own life. I’d love for you to join me on the journey; I need the company.
