31 Days: Trusting enough to listen

Listening Prayer

Do I trust God? Do I trust His goodness? Do I trust His heart for me? Do I trust Him enough to put myself in His hands and listen?

Honestly, some days it’s much easier than others. Some days I want to climb up into his lap and lay my ear against His chest. Some days I want to stamp my foot and insist that my way is best. The clay telling the potter what he should do. And still He holds out his hands as he patiently loves me and waits for me.

Do you trust Him enough to listen? Share with me in the Comments.

  1. yeh, well, that is a question isn’t it? Sometimes I think he “gives up” and speaks to me though others, but rarely through other’s pretty little answers. soemtimes a well placed question by a friend is just what i need! love this little seriess.

  2. Thanks Carol. I think he also speaks through others as a way of encouraging us through one another. Perhaps sometimes it’s also because he needs to get our attention. 🙂
