oh I love Henri Nouwen’s writings. So rich. Have you read much of his writing? And I love this quote. I love this one for right now, because I was scheduled to listen to some conference call and i overslept. the call is recorded. I sat here ready to jump right in for it and i felt that quiet voice that said “this is not a good way to start your day with me.” I listened – thought about it and said, you are right. And I came here to catch you this morning and this is what I saw. I am off to the lake to find me some solitude. so it was good to stop here this morning.

Hi Carol, I’ve read The Way of the Heart quite some years ago. Do you have favourite that you’d recommend?
I love how God catches us in those small moments, and if we’re willing to pay attention and follow his lead he guides us in a better direction. I’d love to be heading down to that lake too!
