Flourish!

“Flourish!” I came across this word in a book I’ve read recently. It was in the context of personal and spiritual growth. I like the sound of it, and it occurred to me that ‘flourish’ is a word that I would like to apply to myself. It’s too easy to let every-day life turn into every-day existence, and before you know it, you become dried out and shrivelled up inside. This year I want to remember to stop and smell the roses, watch a few more sunsets (and possibly some sunrises…), try a few new things (blogging would be one!), spend time with people I care about, really listen instead of planning what I’m going to say next, explore my creativity, get active, hang out with God more often, learn how to make the word ‘love’ more like a verb than a noun in my life … to flourish!!  I hope this blog will be a kind of ‘growth chart’ as I reflect on what I’m experiencing and learning.
